Rodent Repellent

It’s that time of year again.  The weather is turning colder and families take their activities inside.  Soon we will be snuggling in our blankets and staying toasty warm while we watch the snow falling outside.  Unfortunately, we often have some unwelcomed guests that try to join us and take up residence for the winter months in our warm homes.  If you should find yourself in need of a rodent repellent to send those unpleasant houseguests packing, take a look at an ultrasonic repellent device.

Mice like the cozy feeling our homes provide.  They also like the abundant food supply.  Often, you will first find signs of these rodents around the garbage and recycling bins in your garage.  Once mice get into the garage, it is only a matter of time before they work their way into the house.  If you get a shiver just thinking about the possibility of mice being in your home, you need to get a rodent repellent that will get rid of the mice before you ever see one scurry across the kitchen floor.

An ultrasonic rodent repellent works by emitting a sound that causes stress for the mice.  The mice then will need to escape the vicinity to try to avoid hearing the irritating sound.   These devices are safe to use around dogs and cats as the sound emitted is not detectible by their ears.  This type of repellent is far superior to the traditional methods for rodent control for many reasons.  Number one being that you don’t have to deal with getting rid of dead mice.  Instead of killing the mice, the ultrasonic repellent will just force the rodents outside.

If safety is your concern, then the ultrasonic rodent repellent is the perfect choice.  You don’t have to worry about getting your fingers caught in trap while you are loading it with peanut butter or cheese.  If you have kids, beware, as those spring loaded mouse traps have even been known to sever little fingers.  Another alternative is to use traps that hold chemicals which will attract and then kill the mice.  These chemical traps are terrible to have around children, and especially pets.  Some exterminators will place the chemical traps around the outside perimeter of your home to keep the mice from getting inside.  That means the chemicals may end up in your soil, which is certainly not good for the environment.  So if you are looking for a safe and effective rodent repellent then make the smart choice and get an ultrasonic device.
